Yukon High School

Yukon High School

Yukon High School is the single largest facility in the Yukon Public Schools district. The facility is designed for 2,500 students with expansion possibilities in the future. The multi-story facility is approximately 350,000 sq. ft. and contains 9th through 12th grades. The building has both an auxiliary gym and a competition gym that will hold over 3,500 people.

This project included the latest cutting edge technology such as smart boards, lighting controls and LED site lighting. Large two story corridors help promote a “main street” feel throughout the building while providing large areas with natural lighting and air circulation. The core of the building is an atrium zone that connects the administration, libraries and cafeteria spaces. This atrium then opens up into a community plaza on the back side of the building.

The high school building is just one component of the Yukon High School Campus. This building and the other components of the campus help create one of the first fully designed master campus layouts in the state. This school also holds the distinction of being one of the largest schools built as one project in the State of Oklahoma.

Budget: $65 million
