Newcastle High School Auditorium

The addition of a Performing Arts Auditorium and a 3,500 sq. ft. library to the existing Newcastle High School were part of a 52-million-dollar bond package. The Auditorium building houses a 700 seat theatre with a full proscenium stage, as well as support spaces that include a vocal music classroom, drama classroom and workshop.

The Library addition was designed to branch off the main corridor through an existing storage area to keep from taking away classroom space. Located on the north side of the building, and having a large glass wall at the Northeast corner, the library will be an optimal space for reading and studying. Along with the support spaces, the Library contains a computer area and exterior access to a patio for outdoor reading.
